SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY – Parkwood Prebyterian Women’s Tea

Attendees at the Parkwood Presbyterian Annual  Women’s Tea were treated to a unique Wedding Dress Theme, complete with a Parkwood Presbyterian Teamock (and humorous) ceremony.

Women gathered for a refreshing luncheon of tea sandwiches and the traditional Pittsburgh “cookie table” in following through with the wedding theme. Wedding dresses from various decades were displayed throughout the venue. The oldest dress was from 1943; others were from 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Treasure House Fashions provided the “bride’s” attire, as well as other display fixtures.

Funds raised from the event went distributed evenly between the Race for the Cure, Brides Across America and the church’s organ fund. In alignment with the church vision, two-thirds of the monies were sent out for missions.

The event is held annually every May and is open to the community! Watch for information next spring to join this event.
